Getting Started with Vontronix

No, our service currently does not work with Roku devices.

Its easiest to watch our HELP videos and follow along.  Please go to www.vontronix.com and click HELP to find the videos.

Click here to Buy Now.  You can buy one month or sign up for a subscription with auto renew.  You can also choose how many TVs you have.  The $29.95 works for 2TVs.

Yes, from the App store, download the App, Smarters IPTV.  It will ask for 4 lines of info.

Line 1.  This is what you call your device.  My IPad, or My IPhone.

Line 2.  This is your Vontronix User Name.

Line 3.  This is your Vontronix Password.

Line 4.  (Enter this URL)  http://s1.vontronix.us:83

 

That's it.  If you enter it all correctly, it will work.

If you go to settings in the Vontronix App you'll find Parental Controls.  Within Parental Controls you can remove any of the content that you choose.

Yes,  Apple instructions are above.  Android - just download the Vontronix TV app from the Google Play Store.

BE CAREFUL. We have one rule.  You can only connect to 5 IP addresses per day.  So you can use your phone at home on your WIFI.  You can use your phone at work on their WIFI - that's 2 IP addresses.  What you can't do, is drive around with the App on or even minimized on your phone.  It must be closed and off.  As every cell tower you connect to is a different IP Address.  You will exceed the limit of 5 per day and your account will be turned off for fraud on the network.

It's 24 hrs from the time we give you the username and password.

No, it's exactly the same.  No difference in any way.

You will need to log out and then log back in to see the expiration date update.  Unfortunately it doesn't update automatically.

Connectivity Questions

The Amazon Fire TV devices are a great value.  We also sell an Android box for $69 that is able to play 4K movies.   As long as it can handle 4k, it should be good enough to do the job.

Because our service comes to you via the Internet, the speed you receive is critical.   We require at least 15mbps per TV.  So if you have two TVs and want to watch them at the same time, you'll need NO LESS than 30mbps.  Anything less will result in buffering and less than perfect playback.

In order to see what speed you are actually receiving, please run a simple speed test.  THIS TEST MUST BE DONE FROM THE DEVICE THAT YOU USE TO WATCH TV.  That means, the Firestick or Android box.  It does no good to do the test from a computer.   You can download an App or open a browser, go to Google and search for Internet Speed Test.

https://fast.com is another service that works well and is very simple to use.

 

Alternatively, we recommend an app called "Net Speed Test" to see what your download speed is. 

NO!  VPNs can change your IP address every few minutes.  To us this looks like fraud on the network and your account will be deactivated.  Please don't use a VPN with Vontronix.

First, please reboot your hardware.  This will fix most issues.  To reboot, unplug power to your cable modem and router.  Also unplug power to your Firestick or android TV box.  Let it stay unplugged for two full minutes.  Then plug in modem....wait for all lights to come on.  Then plug in router (if you have one)  Once all lights are on solid, plug in the FireSticks.  Now try.

 

If you still have buffering on a majority of channels, first do a speed test as outlined above.  If you don't have least 15mbps then call your internet company and figure out how you can get more speed.  Its often seen people paying for 200mpbs yet they are only getting 10.  Work with your cable company to get the speed you are paying for.

 

If you have 15mbps or more and still have buffering, call us at 855 337 5660 and ask for tech support.

Other Questions

Yes, basically if you get three friends to become customers of Vontronix, you will receive a free month of service.  To use this service, look at the bottom right corner of our website and you'll see a little popup that has 'Refer a Friend' text.

Click on that popup and you'll find the referral software.  Enter your info and then enter your friend's email addresses.  

The system will email a coupon to your friends that gives them $2 off their first month of service.   When they use the coupon to buy you will receive an email stating that you earned 10 point.  When you earn 30 points, you can redeem them for a free month of Vontronix TV service.

No, you are under no commitment beyond our month to month service.
